Activity Director

The Meadows at East Mountain is a vibrant assisted living community dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for our residents through compassionate care, engaging programs, and a welcoming environment. We’re looking for an energetic, organized, and creative Activity Director to lead our life enrichment department and bring joy to our community every day.

Schedule: Full-Time | No Weekends | Alternating Holidays

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, and oversee a diverse monthly calendar of activities and events that promote physical, social, emotional, and cognitive well-being.
  • Develop engaging programs tailored to residents’ interests, abilities, and preferences—including group activities, outings, wellness programs, arts & crafts, music, and more.
  • Use computer programs to create calendars, maintain schedules, communicate with families, and keep accurate records.
  • Supervise, train, and schedule activity assistants and volunteers to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Foster resident engagement by encouraging participation and adapting activities to meet individual needs.
  • Coordinate special events and holiday celebrations for residents, families, and the community.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of attendance, resident preferences, and program outcomes.
  • Collaborate with nursing, dining, and administrative teams to support a holistic approach to resident care.
  • Ensure compliance with state regulations, company policies, and safety standards.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience planning or leading recreational programs, ideally in a senior living or healthcare setting.
  • Strong computer skills are essential—including proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Publisher), email, and scheduling/communication platforms.
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire participation and create an inclusive, positive environment.
  • Must pass background check.

Part Time LNA (6am-2pm)
