Director of Activities / Life Enrichment

The Meadows at East Mountain is seeking a creative and experienced Director of Activities to lead our Life Enrichment team. You role would be to plan and implement a fully-developed activities program that will enrich the lives of our residents.

Responsibilities include:

  • Identify activities, programs, and individualized interests to maintain the highest quality of life, socialization, and stimulation for our residents.
  • Undertake calendar planning and coordination of activities.
  • Take initiative to engage with residents to identify their interests and abilities, and to help encourage attendance in programs.
  • Lead and collaborate with the team’s activities assistants to successfully plan and generate ideas to improve the life enrichment/activities program.
  • Facilitate/lead group programs as assigned in a timely and efficient manner, assisting residents in maintaining interest and focus, and re-directing as needed.
  • Meet with The Meadows Resident Council to obtain feedback directly from the residents about the programs and activities offered.
  • Participate in quality improvement and management team meetings.
  • Be computer proficient in order to word process monthly activity calendars, enter resident notes into Point Click Care, assist residents with video calls, as well as to help implement other technology-based future initiatives.

Experience working with older individuals, especially those with memory impairment, is highly desirable. We are looking for someone who is professional, computer-savvy, possesses strong leadership skills, is kind to residents and staff, and has the ability to handle resident-related situations with sensitivity and compassion.

Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) ~ Sign-On Bonus

The Meadows at East Mountain is looking for caring, diligent, and dependable LNAs to help take care of our residents who call The Meadows their home. We have various hours and shifts available.

Our LNAs provide residents with valuable hands-on assistance with their activities of daily living. Through your care, you will make a direct impact on the quality of their lives. There is also an opportunity for advancement as we train LNAs to become Med Techs.

Successful LNAs are kind individuals who have a positive attitude, a willingness to work hard, and are reliable. We have a strict attendance policy.

Resident Aide – Will train!

The Meadows at East Mountain is looking for caring, diligent, and dependable staff to help take care of our residents who call The Meadows their home. We have one full-time position available on our second shift (2-10PM) and several part-time positions on various shifts.

Resident Aides provide our residents with valuable hands-on assistance with their activities of daily living. Through your care, you will make a direct impact on the quality of their lives. Resident Aides do not need to be licensed or have work experience as an aide. We are willing to train the right applicant. We will put you through classroom training, followed by on-the-floor training. If you come to us with experience, your starting pay will reflect your knowledge and skills. There is also an opportunity for advancement as we train Resident Aides to become Med Techs.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN)

The Meadows at East Mountain has a full-time opening for an RNs or LPN on our third shift (10PM-6AM). Our nurses help to oversee the staff, provide clinical oversight to our residents, and communicate with families and medical offices.

Successful candidates must be a licensed RN or LPN, hold a current Vermont nursing license, possess the ability to be a team leader, and successfully complete a thorough background check.

Housekeeping/Laundry Staff

We are seeking a team member to join our housekeeping/laundry team on The Meadow’s Special Care Unit.

We take great pride in our cleanliness and appearance, and hold our housekeepers to high standards. Experience is preferred, though we will train the right person. Past employment in a health care setting is also a plus, but is not required. We are looking for someone who is reliable, kind, self-motivated and pays attention to detail. Applicants must be able to complete a criminal background check.
